The ORVC Fall 2022 Meeting will provide updates on state-of-the-art science, clinical practice, and professional development through sessions designed for attendees to

  • Understand the considerations required when designing a proton center
  • Understand the technology and applications of dual-energy CT
  • Understand synthetic CT (from MRI) for radiation therapy of the brain
  • Identify how innovation in medical physics is fueled by diversity
  • Understand applications of quantitative cell microscopy under radiation fields
  • Understand the current regulatory environment
  • Identify feature selection methods and predictive models in CT lung cancer
  • Understand the role of dosimetry in theranostics
  • Identify treatment techniques for lung SBRT
  • Identify resources available through the AAPM for medical physics education


The target audience for the meeting is medical physicists, physics residents, and students in the Ohio River Valley area. This meeting has applied to CAMPEP for approval of 5.5 MPCEC hours.
