About ORVC

The Ohio River Valley Chapter is one of more than 20 regional chapters of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), representing medical physicists in Indiana, Kentucky, and central / western Ohio.

Geographic coverage

ORVC serves medical physicists working at academic medical centers, community hospitals, and private practices. Members are spread across the full geographic region including Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo.

About the chapter

The Ohio River Valley Chapter was established to serve the professional needs of medical physicists in the tri-state region. The chapter holds biannual scientific meetings — typically spring and fall — featuring invited presentations, abstract sessions, and opportunities for professional networking. Membership is open to all AAPM members practicing or residing in Indiana, Kentucky, or central and western Ohio.

The chapter is governed by elected officers including a president, president-elect, secretary-treasurer, and an AAPM board representative. Officers serve one-year terms with elections held at the fall chapter meeting.
